NILES, Ohio — The State College pitchers had their team record streak of 28 scoreless innings snapped, but the Spikes’ hurlers still threw well in a 6-4 triumph against Mahoning Valley in New York-Penn League action on Monday.
Cole White had three hits and drove in three runs and Matt Curry had three singles as the Spikes (20-18) pounded Mahoning Valley pitching for 10 hits. The Scrappers had six hits against the Spikes.
