NEW YORK — Zack Von Rosenberg had his best pitching performance in a State College Spikes uniform, but it wasn’t enough in a 4-2 loss to the Brooklyn Cyclones on Friday night.

Von Rosenberg (0-4) pitched four hitless innings, giving up just one run on two hits and one walk while striking out four.

The performance on the mound was matched by Brooklyn’s Yohan Almonte (3-2), who retired the first 10 batters he faced and gave up three hits and no runs in 6 2⁄3 shutout innings, striking out five.
