Patient Jammers rally for four runs in ninth to edge Spikes

UNIVERSITY PARK — Brent Keys watched Zack Dodson’s first two fastballs miss the strike zone. He watched three more fastballs. Two hit the zone. One missed it.
The sixth pitch of the at-bat was predictable.
Dodson was throwing a fastball. Keys wasn’t going to swing at just any one.
The pitched missed low, the first of many signs Thursday that a young pitching staff was facing its most sophisticated opponent of the young season.
Four State College Spikes pitchers combined to throw 180 pitches during a 9-5 loss to Jamestown at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
