-CROSSCUTTERS TAKE SAWBUCK LEAD: The State College Spikes continue the fifth edition of the SawBuck Series tonight against the Williamsport Crosscutters at Historic Bowman Field. With last night’s win, the ‘Cutters now lead the all-time series, 26-24, with 13 of those wins coming at home.

-LAST GAME: A Medlar Field at Lubrano Park record, standing room only crowd of 5,775 witnessed the Spikes’ 2010 Home Opener, as State College fell to Williamsport, 5-3. The attendance mark broke the previous record of 5,757, set on August 30, 2009 in last year’s home finale (also against Williamsport). Miguel Mendez doubled and scored in the contest. 19-year-old Zack Dodson did not earn a decision after allowing two runs on three hits and two walks over four innings of work. Dodson was making just his second pro appearance. Chase Lyles was the lone Spike with a multi-hit performance, going 2-for-4 with an RBI.
