12-hit attack supports strong start by Paulino as State College gets another big victory
BATAVIA, NY – State College Spikes starter Ricardo Paulino allowed just one hit in six scoreless innings, and enabled a Spikes offensive onslaught to overwhelm the Batavia Muckdogs in a 9-2 win at Dwyer Stadium on Saturday.
State College (31-30) delivered a 12-hit attack, and took an 8-0 lead after four innings for the second night in a row. Evan Chambers led the way on offense for the Spikes, going 3-for-3 with a run batted in, and reaching base all five time he appeared at the plate. Justin Byler and Pat Irvine also contributed with two hits and two RBI each.
