State College’s offense struggles against Aberdeen

UNIVERSITY PARK — Two errors, a wild pitch, a hit batter, a walk, sacrifice bunt and sacrifice fly, thrown on top of a 27-minute rain delay, led to one miserable night for the State College Spikes.
A long, wretched eighth inning turned a once-brisk game into a 4-0 Aberdeen victory Tuesday at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
The Spikes, who were also shut out Sunday by Jamestown, only had three hits off four IronBird pitchers.
