UNIVERSITY PARK — The first time Aaron Baker took batting practice at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, he clobbered a ball over the right-field bleachers, creating a stir among teammates and coaches.
It took 105 professional at-bats for that raw power to translate into a game situation.
One night after the State College Spikes were stymied by two dynamic pitchers, Baker hit his first homer to spark Monday’s 11-2 victory over Jamestown at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
