NEW YORK — Staten Island might have the best collection of starting pitchers in the New York-Penn League. The Spikes are finding that out the hard way.
A night after being held hitless over the first seven innings, State College managed a mere four hits in a 2-0 loss to the Yankees on Saturday at Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George.
The Spikes (13-16) have lost five straight games and were shut out for the second time in that span.
