Pirates sign Evan Chambers, assign him to the Spikes

Evan Chambers joined the Spikes today after signing his professional contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Bucs’ third-round draft choice this year, Chambers hit .324 with 11 homers and 39 RBI for Hillsborough Community College in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. Chambers also played for the University of Florida in 2008.
